This insurance is designed
for companies that manufacture, distribute, or sell
ingestible and/ or topical products for human consumption
or any of
ingredients or components.
Such products are susceptible
to accidental and intentional contamination by:

Chemical Toxins |
| Mixture Errors |
Mislabeling |
Foreign objects |
The policy covers losses of
reasonable and necessary expenses of:
1. Recall / Restoration / Replacement
Costs
2. Consultant Costs
3. Extortion Costs
arising out of any of the
following Insured Events first discovered and
reported during the Policy Period:
A. Accidental Contamination
Any unintentional contamination
of an Insured Product(s), which occurs during or as
a direct result of its production, preparation, manufacture,
or packaging , provided that:
(1)
the unintentional contamination arises out of any action
or effects of any External Substance
or Mislabeling; and
(2) the use or consumption
of an Insured Product has resulted in or would result
in bodily injury
within one hundred and twenty (120) days following such
consumption or use.
B. Malicious Tampering
Any actual, alleged or threatened,
intentional, malicious, and wrongful alteration or contamination
of the Insured's Product(s), whether or not by an employee
of the Insured, so as to render it unfit or dangerous
for its intended use or consumption or to create such
impression to the public.
C. Product Extortion
Any threat or connected series
of threats to commit a Malicious Tampering of the Insured
Product, for the purpose of demanding Ransom Monies,
communicated to the Insured.
Major Exclusions
(1) Bioengineering, genetic
engineering or genetic modification
(2) Carcinogenic contamination
(3) Change in governmental regulations or public perceptions
(4) Intentional violation by the Insured of any governmental
regulations
(5) Deterioration, decomposition, or transformation
of the chemical structure, unless such deterioration,
decomposition, or transformation is a result of an Accidental
Contamination
(6) Any injury, damage, or claim made by a third party
arising out of or in connection with the use or consumption
of the Insured Product, including any defense costs
related to a third party lawsuit

business of Insured, which include products, distribution
of sales and markets as well as internal procedures
for quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and recall
preparedness to consider for insurance proposal.
Application form must be completed
and submitted to underwriter for quotation.
