Argentina is the world's leading exporter of cephalopods, representing nearly 20 percent of total exports in 1998, followed by Spain (9 percent), Morocco (8 percent), Korea (8 percent), Thailand (7 percent), China (7 percent) and India (6 percent). However, Morocco ranks as the largest exporter in terms of value.
