year 2000, up slightly from 4,118,900 tons in 1999. Production
from aquaculture is estimated at 855,500 tons in 2001, up nearly
10 percent from 2000.
Thai

Thailand is the world's largest producer of farm-raised
shrimp comprising to nearly 33 percent of the world's shrimp
aquaculture production. Other large producers include China,
Indonesia, India, Bangladesh and Vietnam.
