A. Import Permit

Description :
All restricted plants must be accompanied by an import permit. An exception is for imported plants in a form of foodstuff, medical researches, and industrial purposes.

Note :
Contact USDA for the import permit at least 30 days before the estimated time of arrival (ETA).
B. Phytosanitary Certificate
Description :
1) The phytosanitary certificate applies to plants, roots, beats, seeds, grains, fruit, nuts, and vegetables.
2) A postal delivery of any agricultural products requires that either the original or a copy of the original phytosanitary certificate be attached on each postal package.
3) For a containerized shipment, only one phytosanitary certificate is necessary.
4) The goods must be exported within 15 days, from the issue date of the certificate.
5) A post-entry quarantine is required only to the imported plants intended for further cultivation in the USA.
