A. Import
Permit
|
|
Description :
|
1)
An advanced request for an import permit is required for
all fruit & vegetable plants, seeds, and attached
insects being imported into the country. And the importation
is only for a research purpose. |
|
2) Only the import permit issued by Saudi Arabia's Ministry
of Agriculture and Water, Riyadh, is valid. |
|
B. Phytosanitary
Certificate
|

Description :
|
1)
Every plant and part of a plant must be accompanied by
a phytosanitary certificate. |
| 2)
The phytosanitary certificate should follow the format
of Saudi Arabia's Plant Quarantine law. |

C. Importation
|
|
General Information :
|
1)
Prohibited products include every plant and packing material
that have quarantine pests. An exemption is made only
for those products that have been treated for pests and
diseases. |
| 2)
Every restricted plant must be accompanied by a phytosanitary
certificate. |
