| How to Cook Rice (White
Long-Grained Rice) |
| |
Rice portion: 100g of
dry rice is approximately 1/2 measuring cup |
| |
Rice/water
ratio: cook 1 cup of dry raw rice in approximately 1-1.5
cup of water. For softer cooked rice, add a bit more water
than the normal ratio. If cooked in a large quantity,
the rice/water ratio increases proportionally. |
| |
Flavor: rice is normally
cooked without seasonings, although a bit of salt or butter
could be added to taste. |
| |
Pot/cooking portion:
For a serving size of 2, use 2 cups of raw rice. |
| |
Simmering technique:
After the rice is cooked, allow it to simmer for 10 minutes.
With this technique, the finished rice will become more
tender and will not stick to the pot. |
