Following the preliminary determination
of the Thai canned pineapple Sunset Review, issued April
2001 by the International Trade Commission (ITC) and the Import
Administration (IA), the ITC has announced thier final
determination.
On the basis of the record developed in
the subject five-year review, the United States ITC determined
that revocation of antidumping order on canned pineapple
fruit from Thailand would be likely to lead to continuation
or recurrence of material injury to an industry in the United
States within a reasonably foreseeable time.
Following final determinations, the IA
will instruct the US Customs Service to assess duties
against imports of Thai canned pineapple into the US.
